Less is More

I have been happily settled in my new place now for less than a week.  Just when I thought of how meticulous I had been in releasing items, whether it be donating or throwing away, I found that when I actually made the move, there was more.  I could’ve gotten upset, and believe me, there were moments where I felt that I could go into sheer panic. After all, I had invested my hard earned money to purchase these things that I believed I needed.  I’m so thankful for my spiritual path and daily centering practices! It has made all the difference in learning to detach myself from possessions.  Ultimately, I let it all go and felt a sense of peace knowing that as all things, this had fulfilled its purpose and now I am entering into this new life.

Have you found that your stuff has taken over your life and weighed you down?  Look around!!  Your surroundings are often a mirror of what’s going on inside. Ponder on the next Full Moon, an auspicious and powerful time for releasing.  Ask yourself, what have you been holding onto that has completed its life?  How is it showing up in your environment at home or work and not allowing you to see clearly?  Start with one thing. Decide to sell, donate or just throw away.  Go on to the next.  Next thing you know, you will feel so much lighter.  You will make room in your life to create and let your soul express as you may desire.  Less is so much more!!
